Privacy
Useful context, limited collection.
Snip creates private workspaces for link administrators and records connection facts when a shared link is used.
Administrator accounts
Google sign-in provides a verified email address and an immutable Google account identifier. Snip stores those account facts, but does not store Google access tokens or ID tokens. Login sessions are random, expiring, revocable, and stored only as one-way hashes.
Shared-link activity
When someone opens a Snip link, the service may record the public network address, approximate network location, network provider, browser and device details, time, and any plain-text fields shown on the optional landing page. Snip does not collect precise coordinates and these facts do not prove identity or exact location.
Email context
When a link owner enables email checking, the visitor form discloses sharing the submitted email with email intelligence services. The owner can see when the submitted email was first observed and an email reputation assessment. Snip may also check account sign-in emails; only platform administrators can see those account results. First observation is not mailbox creation or identity proof. Results and submitted emails are private to their respective roles and are deleted with their linked observations or account. Providers process queries under their own privacy policies. Anonymous global lookup counters survive account deletion to enforce the provider budget.
Retention and access
Raw network addresses, full User-Agent values, and temporary connection fingerprints are removed after 30 days. Expired links and their activity are deleted. Link results are limited to the administrator workspace that created the link. Exact platform operators can see account dates and daily counts of logins, links created, candidate visits, and handoffs. Those counts include no destinations, answers, connection facts, or visitor identities. Platform operators can disable accounts but do not receive access to customer workspaces through that role.
